Our client, a prominent private equity firm specializing in real estate investments in the Salem MA area, is currently seeking an adept real estate Acquisitions Analyst to join its Acquisitions and Asset Management team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$90k – $95k Based on experience
Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of a reputable and expanding private equity real estate investment firm, the Acquisitions Analyst will actively engage in evaluating real estate investment prospects and overseeing an existing portfolio comprising office and retail investments. Collaborating closely with asset management and accounting teams, the analyst will spearhead real estate investment opportunities throughout the entire investment lifecycle, encompassing acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, and portfolio reporting.
Responsibilities of the Acquisitions Analyst:
- Conduct comprehensive modeling and analysis of potential real estate acquisitions, utilizing Argus software and advanced Excel techniques.
- Engage in all facets of the due diligence process for acquisitions, including scrutinizing leases, operating expenses, and historical capital expenses.
- Evaluate the performance of current portfolio properties in conjunction with asset management, crafting projections for properties impacted by shifts in market conditions or business strategies.
- Prepare quarterly investor reports and communications.
- Conduct thorough research to comprehend market trends within existing portfolio markets and prospective acquisition markets.
- Assist in various projects as needed.
- Contribute to the disposition process by collaborating with third parties and furnishing due diligence materials.
Qualifications for the Acquisitions Analyst:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in commercial real estate or a related financial/analytical field.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel modeling and familiarity with Argus Enterprise.
- Knowledge of Yardi, VBA, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, thriving in a close-knit, collaborative work environment.
- Proactive and results-oriented, with a solution-focused mindset to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and work autonomously while remaining adaptable to changing circumstances and deadlines.
- Willingness to occasionally travel for property and market due diligence purposes.
