Our client, a growing law-firm in downtown Pittsburgh. This organization specializes in nearly all facets of law, and has been experiencing steady growth for over 10 years. They are searching for a Legal Biller to assist in their small billing department.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50,000 – $70,000, depending on experience

Position Overview:

The ideal Legal Biller candidate will have experience working in a legal setting, ideally in a variety of roles. The Legal Biller position will handle both electronic and paper billing while managing the nuance within legal bills.

Responsibilities of the Legal Biller:

  • Manage, organize, and verify all bills for company clients
  • Generate invoices and statements
  • Consistent monitoring of all payments and outgoing bills to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Work with internal legal staff to ensure billing is properly entered on time / – Produce billing reports
  • Analyze reports to be able to share with upper management and partners within the firm
  • Assist with month end, quarter end, and year end close within the accounting department
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications for the Legal Biller:

  • Previous billing and collections experience
  • Experience working within a law firm is a plus
  • The drive to step into a leadership role
  • Proficient with the MS Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills; experience with ProLaw is a plus
  • Candidates must be able to keep organized
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related is preferred
