Our client, one of the world’s leading health and security organizations to identify medical professionals for a critical and urgent initiative. This organization goes above and beyond in their efforts to protect people and save lives and is a phenomenal organization to work for. They’re seeking a Physician Assistant to travel overseas for a one-year assignment to deliver medical assistance to refugees. They provide luxury housing, as well as two flight reimbursements: the initial journey to the assignment destination and the return flight home. This position is Direct Hire through our client.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$150,000, Additionally includes paid travel, housing assistance, and full benefits.
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Physician Assistant who is well-versed in either Emergency, Pediatrics, or General Family practice. The Physician Assistant would be working to provide healthcare services to residents internationally on U.S. Clinical site.
Responsibilities of the Physician Assistant:
- Meeting with patients to discuss and record their health history, understand their symptoms and evaluate their health in hospital setting
- Stabilize, evaluate and treat emergency patients
- Utilize EMR systems to document and track patient progress, diagnoses, and visit overview
- Conducting physical examinations to further assess patient conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests, urine tests and x-rays to aid in diagnosis
- Providing suitable treatments, often under the guidance and instruction of a licensed physician
- Offer follow-up care to patients to monitor patient progress
- Informing patients about their conditions and how to manage them, including details about medication and lifestyle changes
- Working closely with the supervising physician, as well as other healthcare team members, to provide comprehensive patient care
- Performing administrative tasks like updating patient records, writing patient notes, and handling insurance paperwork
Qualifications for the Physician Assistant:
- 3 years experience minimum as Board Certified (NCCPA) Physician Assistant
- PA/PA-C (or Nurse Practitioner) Certified
- Current and unrestricted license to practice from any US State, District of Columbia or US Territory required
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- DEA License required
- American Heart Association
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification preferred
- Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent(s) preferred
- Must have active Passport or have ability to obtain Passport
Education Requirements:
- Master’s degree is required
