Our client, a large international manufacturer is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$100,000 – $110,000 plus bonus

Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for bringing together P&L, balance sheet and cash flow activities to provide clear connections and transparency on future financial impacts. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support to the sales organization across all Lines of Business (LOB), aligning to strategic initiatives across the North America Field organization; partnering with Area Finance and Sales Directors in support of Executive Leadership’s data & analytics vision; and manage the delivery life cycle of multiple projects from initial ideation sessions to gathering business & technical requirements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst:

  • End-to-end process owner for reporting & analytics in support of the North American Sales teams for all LOB including New Installation (NI), Modernization (MOD) and Service
  • Develop partnerships & strong working relationships with stakeholders across the US Field & Canada, become a trusted subject matter expert for sales performance and underlying drivers
  • Actively manage the portfolio of reports, dashboards & analyses required to provide timely insights and enable better business decisions
  • Provide reporting and insight for relevant Transformation Programs as created by the business
  • Partner directly with Area Sales and Finance Leadership Teams to provide financial insights and updates as necessary
  • Support budget and forecast activities surrounding Order Intake (Sales)
  • Develop forward-looking KPIs to validate, drive & forecast performance across the LOBs utilizing internal Transformation Programs and external market conditions
  • Identify business performance issues, alert impacted stakeholders and take corrective actions
  • Support the US Field and Canada monthly close process by gathering needed inputs, performing variance analyses, refining forecasts, and submitting relevant commentary
  • Perform ad hoc reporting & analyses as requested by Executive Vice President of North American Sales, including supporting highly visible special projects
  • Represent North American Sales Organization when collaborating with Global Finance and Sales Teams
  • Play a critical role in forecasting, budgeting & scenario planning cycles
  • Provide trend analysis and reports for HR partners during Incentive Compensation review and planning for field sales teams
  • Drive continuous improvement & standardized workflows to support business needs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant IT systems & processes

Qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst:

  • 4+ years of progressive experiences in financial reporting, analytics, budgeting & forecasting roles
  • Working knowledge of an industrial company business model & its financial performance measures
  • Ability to operate at a high level within a multi-national organization
  • Understanding of how private equity firms manage portfolio companies
  • Ability to solve complex problems through solution-oriented analysis & outcome-driven solutions
  • Advanced Excel skill set, along with strong financial modeling & data mining expertise
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, with a demonstrated ability to develop management presentations
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, EPM Cloud & other financial reporting software
  • In-depth understanding of accounting methods, with the ability to apply GAAP & IFRS knowledge
  • A high level of initiative & drive, with a natural sense of ownership for projects & duties
  • Ability to work closely with C-level & other executives
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability for articulate/diplomatic communications
  • Comfortable working with very sensitive data and able to maintain a high degree of discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to execute process improvements and identify automation opportunities
  • High degree of Emotional Intelligence, and a Critical Thinker with a natural curiosity

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or similar field is required
  • MBA is preferred
