Our client, an infrastructure contracting company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65,000 – $75,000

Position Overview:

As an Accounts Receivable Associate you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations. Your primary responsibility will be the timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable transactions, ensuring adherence to company policies and relevant regulations. Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Associate:

  • Invoice Management: Generate and distribute invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy, adherence to payment terms, and timely delivery
  • Payment Processing: Receive and record payments from clients, including checks, credit card transactions, and electronic payments, while maintaining well-organized and accurate payment records
  • Collections: Monitor outstanding accounts and communicate with clients regarding overdue payments, discrepancies, and billing issues in a professional and effective manner
  • Cash Application: Accurately apply payments to client accounts and reconcile discrepancies or short payments
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable transactions to maintain accurate financial records
  • Credit Management: Assess and evaluate credit limits for clients, working with the finance team to ensure compliance with credit policies
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and collection efforts to the finance team
  • Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all relevant accounting regulations, company policies, and industry standards

Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Associate:

  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, finance, or a similar role is advantageous
  • Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including experience with ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
